If I wanted to start learning to create some simple flash/web applications, where would be a good place to start? Does anyone have any advice? Must read books or tutorials they've come across, software not be done with out...

For simple flash stuff, check out http://www.swishzone.com/index.php

Or if your using Adobe Flash, check out http://www.good-tutorials.com/ (Also covers Javascript, photoshop, etc).

Ahh, cheer's man - they both look super useful! It's all a little bit over my head still to be honest, but with a bit of reading hopfully i can come up with something =D

As well as some more complicated things, i want to make a simple drag-the-words-around type image so i come put a jumbled question up for students - like, "is birthday day what your ?" - they re-arrange the words to get the question, then answer in the comments.

It's been a while since i saw you in these parts ;p
